What's product verification?
It consists of the examination and testing of each single equipment (in case of complex products or not manufactured in series) or of equipment sampled on a statistical basis for each homogeneous production in order to ascertain that the equipment conform to the type described in the applicable EC Type Examination Certificate (Module B) and satisfy the requirements of the applicable international standards.
Subject to satisfactory outcome of the examination end testing, an EC Product Verification Certificate (Module F) and relevant equipment may be marketed. Said certificate has unlimited validity.

How to proceed?
The procedure consists of the following main steps:

• Manufacturer's application
• Examination of the EC Type Examination Certificate and the associated technical documentation
• Definition of the test program
• Identification of the testing laboratory
• Execution of tests
• Review of the test reports
• Issuance of Marine Equipment EC Product Verification Certificate (Module F).
